Welcome
We are deeply honored to have you visit our site, a sanctuary dedicated to raising awareness and fostering hope in the fight against violence. The Jay-Jerk Foundation was born out of love, resilience, and a profound desire to make a difference in the lives of those affected by violence. Our mission is to support mothers, families, and communities who have endured the unimaginable pain of losing a loved one to violence.
Our Story
The Jay-Jerk Foundation was established by Paulette Wiggins, who experienced the devastating loss of her son to gun violence. Inspired by her journey of healing and recovery, she sought to create a community where others could find solace, support, and empowerment. What began as a personal mission has grown into a comprehensive foundation dedicated to addressing the root causes of violence and supporting those impacted by it.
Our Mission
At The Jay-Jerk Foundation, we unite mothers who have tragically lost children or family members to violence, creating a nurturing space for healing, empowerment, and fellowship. We stand together to support one another, offering friendship, understanding, and hope through the profound journey of grief. Our mission is to turn pain into purpose, helping mothers not only cope with their loss but also find strength to make a positive impact in the world.
Our Purpose
At the heart of the Jay-Jerk Foundation is a simple yet powerful vision: to create a world where violence is not an option. We envision communities where every individual feels safe, valued, and supported. Our work is fueled by the belief that through education, advocacy, and community engagement, we can bring about lasting change and prevent violence from shattering more lives.
Our Vision
Our vision is to build a world where every mother who has lost a child to violence can find solace, strength, and solidarity. We envision communities where healing is possible, empowerment is fostered, and peace prevails. By addressing the needs of grieving mothers and supporting youth affected by violence, we aim to create a future where compassion, understanding, and proactive solutions lead to safer, more resilient communities
